Sunley solicitors is managed by Carmel Sunley solicitor and employment law specialist.

Carmel's career commenced in-house in the legal department of George Wimpey PLC, the UK's largest house-builder. Carmel worked alongside the personnel & HR department providing employment law advice and training to the whole of the Wimpey group of companies.

Carmel is an experienced advocate and has appeared before Employment Tribunals throughout the Country and the Employment Appeal Tribunal in both London and Scotland on the full range of employment disputes.

Following a reorganisation of the way legal services were provided to George Wimpey PLC, Carmel joined Steeles solicitors from where she continued to act for George Wimpey PLC. Carmel was a partner of Steeles and Head of their London Employment Law Department managing a large number of employment law solicitors and trainee solicitors. Carmel developed Steeles' London Employment Law Department from scratch upon the firm opening a London office.

Carmel is the author of many published articles on employment law and she regularly lectures on employment law for a number of institutions including the CIPD. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Industrial Law Society.
